Pastor Andy League

Pastor Andy grew up in middle Tennessee and sensed God calling him into pastoral ministry while in the 7th grade. After pursuing biblical training at Wheaton College and Gordon-Conwell Seminary, he spent a number of years in Chicago working at a law firm and serving in lay ministry. While in Chicago, he met his wife Shannon, and they were married in 2011. The Lord has truly blessed them with five wonderful children. Andy and Shannon moved to Minnesota in 2013, and Andy served as a Children, Youth, and Family Pastor before coming to Lowry in June 2018. The grandson of a Nebraska dairy farmer, Andy has re-discovered his roots in God’s calling to serve as a rural pastor. Andy believes the pastor’s job is to help people pay attention to God (as Eugene Peterson says), and Andy loves to do that through teaching Scripture, prayer, and spiritual direction with God’s people, week in and week out. In addition to pastoring, Andy loves spending time with his wife and family, reading all manner of books, making and enjoying music of all kinds, playing soccer, gardening, and practicing hospitality.
